Subject: Abstracts/publications for NE-1333
Dear NE-1333 Colleagues:
We are sorry that you missed the 2017 NE-1333 meeting, held in scenic Maggie Valley, NC. It was a good meeting but attendance was low.
I am preparing the annual report for NE-1333 and I am writing to ask if you would like to submit an abstract of your work and a list of publications (referred papers, abstracts, meetings attended...) for inclusion in this year’s minutes. Your report can be an abstract, tables, figures—whatever you would like to include. I would appreciate your submission by the end of September.
The current project expires on 30 Sept 2018, so a termination report will be due next year. There was some discussion at this year’s meeting as to whether to continue with the project for another 5-years. The consensus of the group was that we proceed with a new proposal. To that end, Fred Hebard has agreed to spearhead the writing of the proposal for 2019-2024. Thus, Fred will be asking each of you to send him material that he will include in the proposal. This will include your research plans for the next five years along with relevant literature citations.
John Carlson will host the meeting in 2018 at the Nittany Lion Inn on the Penn State campus. Dates are 7-9 September 2018, so mark your calendars.
